1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, request a TechDash, or communicate with us. This includes:

  • Contact Information: Name, email, phone number, and physical address.
  • Service Data: Details about your hardware, software issues, and service history.
  • Log Data: IP addresses and browser types used to access the Platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Facilitate and coordinate TechDash sessions between Clients and Technicians.
  • Process payments securely via Stripe.
  • Perform “Spot Audits” to ensure Rate Card compliance and service quality.
  • Send automated booking confirmations and service updates.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

To provide a seamless experience, the TechDashers platform uses Cookies (small text files stored on your device).

  • Essential Cookies: These are required for account security, keeping you logged in, and processing your TechDash requests.
  • Functional Cookies: These remember your preferences and settings to improve your next visit.
  • Management: You can choose to disable cookies through your browser settings; however, doing so may prevent the Platform from functioning correctly (e.g., you may be unable to stay logged in).

4. Data Sharing and Technicians

To complete a TechDash, your contact information and service details are shared ONLY with the Independent Technician assigned to your request. Technicians are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than fulfilling the TechDash.

5. Payment Security

TechDashers does not store or process your credit card information. All financial transactions are handled by Stripe, Inc. Payment data is encrypted and managed through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).

6. Remote Session Privacy

For Remote Diagnostics, Technicians use professional screen-sharing software. TechDashers does not record these sessions. Clients are advised to close all sensitive documents before a session begins. You have the right to terminate the remote connection at any time.

7. Account Deletion and Data Rights

You have the “Right to be Forgotten” on our platform:

  • Self-Service Deletion: You may delete your TechDashers account at any time through your User Dashboard > Settings.
  • Data Removal: Upon deletion, your personal profile data will be removed or anonymized.
  • Retention for Legal Compliance: Please note that certain transactional records (such as past invoices) must be retained for the minimum period required by Florida law for tax and audit purposes.
